Indian Summer Extraordinaire

October 14, 2011

Typically we get a couple of days during the Fall which bring back memories of the summer just past. But, this year Mother Nature has outdone herself! The last several weeks of sunny, clear skies and warm temperatures have extended the bounty sold at the Fulton Street Farmers Market and helped us set attendance records. The fall crops that we all look forward to — apples, pears, pumpkins, winter squash, osage oranges — have glowed in the brillant sunlight with a backdrop of beautiful multi-color leaves still hanging from the trees. It looks like our extra special gift of warm, dry weather may be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean that the market will. Remember that the Fulton Street Farmers Market remains open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays right up until Christmas — even after the construction begins in November. Then in January, we will move to a Saturday-only schedule with signage to direct you around the workers getting our space ready for its grand opening next May. Any updates on navigation issues will be posted on our web site and also on Facebook.¬†Looking forward to seeing you¬†all year long!
